Fish-Win Frenzy in the Base Game
One base game rule makes it different from the original. If three or more fish of any size land on a winline, you get a payout.
The cash values on the fish symbols do not pay out during the main game. They only become relevant when the Fisherman appears in Free Spins.

Triggering Free Spins
The scatter symbol is a fishing boat. Landing three or more anywhere triggers the bonus round. The boat symbol does not appear during the Free Spins themselves.
In the Free Spins round, the Fisherman acts as a wild. Each Fisherman that lands pays a win for every fish visible on that spin. If multiple Fishermen land, each one collects from all the fish.

The Big Catch Upgrade
This mechanic gives the game its title. Every Fisherman symbol that lands in Free Spins is counted in a collection meter next to the grid.

Upgrading removes the lowest-value fish from the set, so the average prize climbs. A long bonus with many Fishermen can leave only the 50x fish in play. Blueprint names this final state the Big Catch.

Blueprint launched Fishin' Frenzy The Big Catch 2 in February 2025. It is a distinct slot. It introduces a Can of Worms symbol that can multiply fish values by up to 5x your bet. There's also an optional Power Play mode. It retains the Fisherman upgrade concept from the first Big Catch game.
